PRIOR TO APPLICATION

pre-care instructions for all american hairlines products

  1. When you first receive your order, inspect product to ensure the color and style are correct.
  2. Before washing, use a wide-tooth HairUWear detangling comb to remove any tangles.
  3. Rinse with cool water.
  4. Wash gently, patting shampoo through the hair in a downwards motion from roots to ends.
  5. Keep hair all going in the same direction. Do not rub back and forth or use a circulation motion.
  6. Rinse. Repeat if necessary.
  7. Towel dry hair, patting gently without rubbing or friction to avoid tangling and shedding.
  8. The system is now ready for custom coloring and perming or cut-in.

Please note: Once a system has been chemically processed (colored, permed, etc.) and/or modified in any way (base cut, hair cut, adhesive applied, etc.) it cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason.

AFTER APPLICATION

post-care instructions for bonded and integrated systems

  1. Wait at least 24 hours after application to wash hair.
  2. To style hair prior to the 24-hour waiting period, spray hair with water, and style as desired. Be careful to not wet the bonded area. Wetting the bonded area may interfere with the adhesive strength.
  3. Wait at least 24 hours after application to engage in activities that could cause perspiration, such as exercise, hot climates, wearing hats or other head coverings, etc.
  4. After the 24-hour waiting period, wash and style your new hair as follows:
    • Using a small amount of color-safe, sulfate-free shampoo, wash gently, patting shampoo through the hair in a downwards motion from roots to ends. Keep hair all going in the same direction. Do not rub back and forth or use a circulation motion.
    • Rinse. Then condition using a small amount of colorsafe conditioner. Gently pat conditioner through the hair in a downwards motion, from the mid-shaft to the ends, avoiding the base and root. (Caution: Applying conditioner to the base may cause shedding.)
    • Leave conditioner on for 1-2 minutes or follow the conditioner manufacturer’s instructions. Do not exceed 3-5 minutes.
    • Pat hair dry with a soft towel. Do not rub back and forth to avoid tangling and shedding. Style as desired.

  1. Gently remove tangles with fingers or a HairUWear wide-tooth comb. Start at the ends and slowly work toward the roots to avoid damage. Do not brush.

  3. Place a small amount of shampoo for color-treated hair in your hand, evenly and gently stroke it through the hair in a downwards motion from the roots to the ends.
  4. Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze to press out excess water. Do not twist or wring.
